SMS Program Terms
Beneath the Text Updates is the text messaging program operated by Appendment LLC (doing business as Beneath the Text). This page describes what we send, how you join, how you leave, and how your phone number is protected. Effective date: June 11, 2026.
Program description
When you opt in, Beneath the Text sends text messages related to your purchase and study, including: order confirmations and receipts, secure member portal access links, requested support replies, occasional study reminders, and, for Daily Greek Theology members who request them, daily lesson notifications. We send what helps you use what you bought. We do not send spam, and we never sell or share your number for anyone else's marketing.
How you opt in
You can join the program in one of these ways, and only these ways:
- At checkout: by entering your mobile number and checking the unchecked SMS consent box on our order form at beneaththetext.com/checkout.html.
- By web form: using the consent form on this page.
- By keyword: texting a published Beneath the Text keyword (such as GREEK) to our number, where offered.
Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase. Every product works fully without opting in to SMS.

Message frequency and cost
Frequency: varies by your activity and preferences. A typical buyer receives 1 to 3 messages around their order (confirmation and access link). Daily Greek Theology members who request lesson notifications receive up to 5 messages per week. Cost: Beneath the Text never charges for text messages. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt out and help
To stop: reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing further. Opting out never affects your purchase, your portal access, or your membership.

Privacy
Your mobile number and your text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are used only to operate this program. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted only as needed to deliver the messages you asked for. All other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
